From Headboard To Love Seat
Are you looking for new furniture, but are dreading to have to spend thousands of dollars to purchase a whole new set? Well there are ways that you can find used furniture at a reasonable price.
If you go to a flea market you can find great things, including lots of furniture. I know what you are thinking, I won’t like anything I find there. Look at this as your remodeling project. Except you will be remodeling what you buy.
All you need is a little imagination and an understanding of what you can create. This can be an easy project for anyone and if you do it right it can be wuite affordable. Here is a great example of how you can find one thing and turn it into something completely different.
Let us say that you found two twin-size headboards that were in good condition. The first thing that you would think to use them for is a bed, am I right?
What if you could turn them into a love seat bench? First you need to cut one of the headboards in half. Then you need to secure it to the other headboard using it as the bench sides.
When that is done you can apply two coats of black paint, or whatever color you prefer, and then let it dry. Make sure that you sand down the edges cover the whole thing with oak stain. After you are finished with that you just need to find a cushion to sit on and maybe a few pillows to go on the top. It is that simple and easy.
