Furniture For Your New Baby
Your baby is coming in a few months and you are worried about how to decorate the perfect room for the newest addition. You are so busy with everything else that sometimes it can be hard to focus on the new room.
For the new room you will need to get:
Cribs
Changing Table
Dresser
Rocking Chair
Toy Bin
The crib is obviously the most important part of the room and should therefore be the centerpiece to which you work around. You can purchase the pack n’ play cribs - but the only negative to this is that while they can be taken wherever you go then do not grow with your child.
Therefore it would be best for you to spend the money and purchase a crib that turns into a toddler bed and then into a twin bed. The only thing you will have to keep buying are new mattresses.
When it come to the changing table you can buy the one that is specifically made to be that way or you can do your own make-shift table. I used a type of bookcase for a changing table. The shelves I used to hold the diapers, wipes, blankets, and such and on the top I placed a thick blanket where I changed my daughter’s diapers.
A rocking chair isn’t a necessity - but it comes in handy for those late night feedings. You will not have to move your child very far and you can help rock them back to sleep.
I have found that a toy bin is very much needed. The older they get the more toys they will be given and you’ll need a place to put them all. It’s great to be prepared.
